- Reimagined and restarted the paper’s podcast, The Daily News, as a narrative podcast focusing on individual stories from the newsroom
- Researched, wrote and reported a data-based project about the state of the region’s dams in the era of climate change. The project, which included a podcast, interactive data visualizations and drone footage, was recognized in a Gannett-wide town hall meeting
- Reported on the life-shattering impact of the coronavirus, writing reported obituaries, building timelines and databases and maps, profiling daily life and investigating nursing homes, where more than half of the states’ deaths have occurred

- Pitched and reported multimedia stories, ranging from breaking news to enterprise, for the Arizona Republic’s national politics team
- Reported and wrote two front-page stories, one reconstructing a ransomware attack on a rural hospital and one entwining data about the prescription opioid epidemic with reporting of on-the-ground effects in northwestern Arizona
- Sat in on multiple brainstorming and taping sessions of the Gaggle political podcast. I was also a guest on one episode in which I talked about my reporting on a new shelter for migrants opening in Phoenix

- Wrote an award-winning investigative series on the threat to Ipswich’s economic and environmental resources posed by an invasive species of crab for the Chronicle
- Led the Advertiser’s coverage of a local battle over a waste company’s plan to expand its ash landfill, reporting on state government’s review of the company’s request, the formation of a citizen opposition group, and ongoing safety and environmental violations at the site
- Increased audience engagement on social at the Free Press while reporting on the local impacts of the 2016 election and other local stories ranging from aging infrastructure to restaurant openings
